A short port layover in Wrangell will quickly show you that Wrangell is
a town you will want to spend more time in. Time in port for Wrangell is
usually around 45 minutes.

BEAR VIEWING IN WRANGELL Viewing the AnAn Bears in Wrangell is an experience you will not
soon forget. There is quite a bit of trail walking if you're able but
is very much worth the hike. The Anan
Wildlife Observatory is located 30 miles southeast of the town of
Wrangell. Anan Creek has one of the largest runs of pink salmon in
Southeast Alaska, which supports the high density of black bears
and a smaller population of brown bears. The facilities consist
of a covered viewing shelter, decks, photo blind, and outhouses.
